About CAMAction
CAMAction was incorporated as a non-profit in April 2003 to address the need for greater advocacy in defense of Complementary/Alternative Medicine (CAM) in Georgia. It is pending recognition as a 501(c)4 association.
CAMA, its sister organization, has been involved in advocacy to a limited degree since 1996 but is first and foremost an educational association.
With the continuing threats to freedom of access to CAM in Georgia, it became clear that a separate organization was needed to seriously counter this threat.
'The Freedom of Access Movement' started in Minnesota with the passage of their Freedom of Access Bill in 2000. Rhode Island and California followed. Although CAMA introduced a bill that same year, we were unable to get the grassroots support to usher it through to passage. We believe that we now have that grassroots.
Can CAMAction count on you to get it done?
